History OF COMPANY
Vilarta SA was founded in 1925 by Don Gaspar Vilaregut Aguilar in the Osona region, an area in Catalonia known for its livestock farming tradition. Over the decades, the company has grown under the direction of the Vilaregut family, with LluÃs Vilaregut Rifa standing out in the 1970s, who consolidated the company's expansion and modernisation.
Vilarta SA specialises in the import and export of cattle, with a focus on animal welfare and compliance with European regulations. Recognised in the sector for its innovation in facilities and procedures that guarantee the comfort and safety of the animals transported.
Over time and after great dedication, Vilarta SA has managed to establish itself as one of the main companies in the livestock sector in Spain, occupying second place in its sector at national level. At provincial level, in Barcelona, it achieved position 488 in terms of sales and was placed in position 3,155 in the ranking of Spanish companies.

Mr. Gaspar Vilaregut Aguilar began his livestock farming activity in 1925 in the Vic region.
1989
Mr. Lluís Vilaregut Rifà, together with Mrs. Eugenia Tañà, formed the second generation to establish VILARTA SA
2008
Mr. Gaspar, Mr. Lluís and Mr. Gil, the third generation of the Vilaregut Family, who drove VILARTA SA to new business challenges as well as its expansion throughout Europe.
2024
VILARTA SA is currently one of the leading livestock farms at national level after more than 80 years of experience in the sector. It also establishes alliances with more than 11 European countries.
